Days 10 & 11 - Adels Grove

Being unable to secure another night at the NP campsite we packed up and moved 10 km up the road to the private camp site at Adels Grove.

This is a lovely oasis and caters for many levels of accommodation - including having a cafe/restaurant and bar.
Staying here also allowed us to do some much needed washing.

We had 2x nights here and pretty much relaxed and hung out in the very cool waters of Lawn Creek - it seemed much cooler at this part of the creek than at the NP campsites at the gorge. We also hung out at the bar on the deck of the restaurant in the cool of the early evening - doing it pretty tough.

We are starting to see these Royal Flying Doctor donation cans everywhere we go now - they make a big effort to support this vital service in the outback. We have been gladly donating and doing our bit to help out.

Got to love the sense of humour here - with this sign on the tree out the front of the office at Adels Grove.

We did the walk to Lookout Hill on our last day here at Adels. In the late afternoon it was still pretty hot but was a great view from the top of the hill back towards
the entrance to the gorges and a 360 degree view of the surrounding Constance Ranges.

The price of fuel really hit the hip pocket here at the handsome price of $1.95 per litre for diesel - the dearest we have had yet.
